Goodness it is almost Christmas!

So I have been way slack as my past few posts have shown. September was a whirlwind of my starting back to work, Niamh starting daycare, Kian starting JK as well as Niamh turing 1. I added a few New Kids on the Block shows into the mix with travelling to Toronto and it was a crazy month.

October wasn't as monumental but we were still getting use to the changes along with all the birthdays to be celebrated (Aunt Kathy, Aunt Robyn, Aunt Teri). I added another New Kids on the Block show and a travel to Detroit so that was fun ... Aunt Robyn and I enjoyed our last day of being a groupie.

November has been very busy at work but thank goodness quiet at home.

Niamh update: Niamh is almost 15 months old and 25lbs. She is just outgrowing her 12-18 month tops in the belly and pants in the length. Last week she had a rough go that started with a high fever and a trip to the peds walkin on the Saturday. She was diagnosed with an ear infection in her left ear and pnuemonia. She was given strong antibiotics and sent home with an inhaler to help her breathe. By Monday her meds were finished but she still had a high fever ... daycare called me to pick her up and we ended up at Children's Emergency. Well let me tell you my little girl is more stubborn than even I am. She held her pee for 4 hours and refused to pee in the bag they strapped on her. Luckily they agreed to send us home with a bag I could attach and remove. All this after she had a chest xray and lots of poking and prodding. In the end they decided she had strep on top of her first two diagnosed issues. Well doesn't the daycare call the next day to say she has a full body rash. Off to the Dr we go and she now has a viral rash. Ugly little rash but luckily she didn't seem to notice it. Thank goodness she is back to her happy self now.

Kian Update: Kian is getting close to 5 years old and 35lbs. He is wee but has a voice that carries. His legs have finally grown so that his size 4 pants are high water ones. His top half is still small so no change in top size. He is very into learning his letters but not really interested in his numbers. He writes his own name and loves to pretend he is reading the books he has memorized. He and Niamh are really starting to interact (he is her idol). He is one of those children who is caring and thoughtful one minute and mean the next. Tonight on the way to Niamh's room before their bath he kicked her hard in the legs to trip her seconds after telling her how much he loved her. I was appauled! He got in trouble but I don't know how to prevent him from doing the act in the first place.

I will end this post with a few recent photos.

Great pic of you and Jon :) I'm glad to hear that Niamh is feeling better. She's 2 months younger than my youngest and about 5lbs more in weight, however my 3.5 yr old is catching up in wieght to your son. They sure do come in all sorts of sizes don't they? Have a Merry, Merry, Christmas and don't forget to turn the fireplace off so Santa won't get burned!!!
